I stayed 1 night in this resort, and it is O.K. but I would not stay longer. Rooms are big and spacious but very spartan. The resort has come into the years and needs renovation. Service as usual in Java very, very nice and friendly. The food at the restaurant is average. The swimming pool is large and nice. The garden and surroundings are beautiful.

The garden is nice. However the rest of the accomodation is outdated and tailored for group holidays. There are 51 rooms and there is a large dining facility. The big swimming pool has 6 chairs for about 100 guests! WiFi doesn’t work in the rooms. There was no soap. It is very noisy. Besides mosques sounds you also hear train sounds. Staff was business like.

Locatie van hotel is niet zo, Kalibaru is niet meer dan een straat met vervallen winkeltjes. Hotel ligt echter in een prachtige tuin/boerderij. Fijne kamers en badkamer. Heel intiem omdat alle kamers een terrasje aan de tuin hebben. Redelijk zwembad. Ontbijt ook westerse producten. Eten is hotel ok. In omgeving is ook niet veel verder.

Expect a very basic/simple room when booking this hotel. The hotel itself has a lot of greenery outside, which is nice. The pool itself is also nice, but does not have enough sun loungers. The breakfast is also simple. Upon arrival in our room we were disappointed and indignant about the dirtiness of it: dirty towel, dirty cups, dead flies on the window in the bathroom, the bathroom was dirty overall. The room also does not have a hairdryer, mini-bar or WiFi.

If you are lounging on the veranda you imagine yourself in an Indian novel by Couperus. Outside the resort a few mosques .. the multiple calls to prayer are clearly audible. We did not find it disturbing at all. After all, you are a guest of account in the country with the largest Muslim population in the world. What a nice place .. Margot Utomo Eco Resort!

Very poorly maintained rooms, cracks in the plaster everywhere, mold in the bathroom, bad beds, heavily rusted towel rack, dirty toilet. Breakfast and dinner options are limited but good. Nothing to do in the area.
